Some stuff that I've noticed: - much better animation for quad commanders - some particles when commander steps on the ground - much more voice notifications (well it was obvious) - symmetrical and hand-made planets in GW - all new models have more detail (just compare t1 tank and t1 hover tank) - ice planets are brighter for me - metal on csg And some random stuff: - titan in first tutorial is a commander
Wasn't there already foot-print particle effects for Commanders? I like the improvements they've made to the animations, and the models are definitely a little more detailed. Whether or not this is a good thing, though - I'm not sure. PA started off trying to be simplistically styled, and cartoon-y. Whilst I don't like the cartoon-like aesthetic and colors, I do like the chunky metal cuboids for tanks. More detail might be going against this simple design, but I've only seen a handful of the new units - and the Titans look decently done. One thing I've noticed, however, is the game gets more unstable, quicker than the original PA - which was already prone to crashes and glitches as time progressed.
Yeah there has been a lot of love and attention to detail in this expansion and it shows. The little drones from the carrier look great, the stompy titan is beautiful. The space titan is really cool looking. I love that little electric spark effect the bots have.
