Sometimes I wonder why I can't just bring up the menu and press corresponding button to upgrade things. Sometimes (usually at the start of game) when I try to upgrade a skill too quickly it upgrades the wrong one usually leaving me with $150 spent on Fly instead of Passive. It just seems intuitive to me to have it so that you can bring up the menu and just press A/X/B/Y to upgrade related skill. Make Passive pie section green and all the others are even perfectly colour coded. Probably too late to implement this, but just a bit of feedback.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing earlier this afternoon, I just hadn't gotten around to making a post about it yet : ) It would definitely be easier, half the time I upgrade to fast and end up getting my yellow upgrade instead of weapon upgrade.
Uber likely avoided this because people might accidentally level the red skill while trying to exit out of the menu with the B button, which is what is usually used for exiting out of menus.
That doesn't sound like a bad idea, because I hate when I upgrade fly on a level where I don't use it much, such as LazeRazor or Grenade III.
How do you back out of the skill pick menu without choosing a skill? The B button is the common UI paradigm for backing out of a screen. You'll have people accidentally upgrading their red skill when they meant to back out of the screen. We tried the exact solution you offered up and that's the exult we saw most often.
why dont you make it so you have to double tap the button for the skill? i have never had a problem of picking the wrong skill
You could make it so that you have to press Up again to exit out, but I agree that B is more intuitive.
i have this problem too.(hate when i end up wasting 150 on deploy first thing) that would definitely simplify stuff to juust map the upgrades to bbuttons
I think it's more of a lag issue. Goes hand and hand with interrupting skill pick by jumping. I have a feeling the next update will help this a lot.
No, fair play, that's exactly the response I expected. Good to know that you tired it out first, thanks for replying.
