I create all my signatures and images with a free program called GIMP. Which is basically a simple version of Photoshop.

I kind of like it, although that backround is just out of place.

yeah, I was thinking the same thing, also the space between the assassin and the logo seems a tad empty, any ideas of what I could put there?

Illustrator is very good for design. If you are making vector images the colors will be perfect. I would make the background in illustrator and connect and mix images in Photoshop. Or do both of them in Painter, however if you just have illustrator, not sure how good you are with it, might want to download the free photoshop cs4/5 for the month test time and then finish up a decent logo.......or ask one of the artists in the community to help out :)

I have photoshop, illustrator, and gimp, I have no idea how gimp works though. and I am fairly good with photoshop, and I am still learning how to use illustrator, I got it yesterday. and gimp is a different world in itself! so what should I do as the background?

Too busy, elements of your design are fighting for attention.

does that mean too colorful? I am not too good with art terms, and if its not an art term and I am trying to make it, my bad.. so should I tone down the color and make the background like a smoky gray or something like that?

    Something like this.

Keep your subject prominent have the background support it visually. The fractal background has too much contrast and fights with the Assassin for attention. Also having both Monday Night Combat and Represent 601 next to each other compete for attention. Use color accents to support differents elements together like the Assassin's eye glow to the text color. I continued the fast motion theme with the slanted text, slanted Icemen logo and did a similar motion blur effect to everything to blend the image together into a single composition.

Also, read up on Composition and especially Rule of Thirds. This tutorial is gold for anyone wanting to design a pleasing composition or take photographs with good composition.

Eka your a really cool person with the artists on this site.

    Much respect :ugeek:

Represent..busy meens there is to much going on, you want your image to have a flow. if there is a lot of stuff it becomes tiring to the brain and unattractive.
