have something like CoD, Halo just something where i can see my connection and how good or bad it is, im sure many people will agree with this, i would love to be able to see it as it would change a lot of things for me, if possible have it shown in the lobbies as well so you know what to expect when the game starts.

But then everyone sees your connection and bitches about it the whole game saying that's why they lost.

Would be good still, at least we have NAT for now. I hate NAT, I'll show you strict.

It would be ok to see I guess, but for the most part I can tell when I'm lagging really badly or not so I can tell when I need to leave or just stick it out.

Also I feel like I'm the only other open NAT person in the room because the game likes to make me host when host (rage) quits.... I'm a BAD host and know it... So then I have to go and find a new room because no on has fun on my host...

I'd go further than that. Show the connection level, make the host explicitly known, and give the host the power to kick players (and all players in their party if applicable).

    NOOOO!!! NOOOO!!!

Valve gave the host total control in Team Fortress 2 on the Xbox 360 and it totally ruined the game. This would be cool, but it would be exploited to the point where this game would become unplayable.

I agree with Billy. While host options would be great under the conditions of having friendly, competent folks all playing for the sake of having fun, I think the forums offer excessive proof that there are more than a few players who will do anything to win including exploiting.

Its the mantra I use. every time I start to get annoyed with yet another host ragequit and failed migration, "it could be worse".

I'm not sure I'm on board here. I don't want to constantly hear people blaming their loss on the fact that someone else has one bar more or less than they do. And if you mark the host, you know anytime they do halfway decent everyone is going to say it's host advantage not player skill.

i play this game if i can shoot someone and the bullets hit them and health gets taken away when they hit them, otherwise im out which is hard for me since im in Australia but i seem to find a lot of more aussie games now (thanks to there patch tweaking)

i have open NAT but whenever it seems to migrate host (and be successful) it gives it to me....im on a terrible connection and if i get host people in my own city lag....so i feel bad.

If i could see the connection of others when im host or even if im not i will not shout host advantage because as long as i have 3/4 bars (using MW2 as an example here) i can play it, i NEVER found games on MW2 with full connection i would play 3 bars because i found it close to perfect yet everyone else i see complains about 3...i think it would be a good idea so you join check the connection if its red or 1 bar your not gonna stay, i hate having to check every time i join a game (by zooming in with the assault or sniper really quickly and if it jutters its bad 90% of the time)
