I have gold RoF on my support but it still seems like there are supports that shoot faster then me.

Is there a trick to it?

I don't think so. Try holding the trigger down, and if it still seems like they shoot faster, call H4x0rz.

Lag really shows up when you use the shotty. I run gold ROF and have days that I just end up not switching to the shotgun at all. Those are the same days that I get back grappled by the sin in front of me. Also, accuracy improves range so someone running silver accy with gold ROF may get shots into you that you can't return.

xZatchmo is right, the shotty is fully automatic.

So holding the trigger down is better then pressing it for each shot?

Maybe that's it. Lag probably factor to.

I press per shot because my aim isn't great, so I need to make sure I'm lined up before I pull the trigger. I like gold ROF because with the extra split second I need to aim means the shot is ready when I am.

I made some assumptions about what you meant by faster. ROF = more shots per second so to get the shortest time between shots hold down the trigger. If they're getting the drop on you then you need to anticipate running into pros and switch to the shotty sooner - I pull it out if I see or hear anyone.

FIRST OFF. You get so many bonus points for Perry the Platypus.

Now. As far as other supports shooting faster than you? If you're rockin' the gold ROF there's no way they can shoot faster than you as far as the scope of the game goes.

Also, I wouldn't recommend holding down the trigger .. As then you have to keep your crosshair on the sorry individual the entire time. Go into a private match IDeadEye style and just practice your timing. The only way other supports are faster is if they've mastered the 'cooldown' between each shot and are taking full advantage of that.

There's also the latency factor. If User A and User B have the exact same skill level / play style but User A has the better connection .. User A wins.

While we are on the subject of RoF.

Does the gold Rof effect the heal/hurt gun at all?

Yeah I can't believe I didn't mention that too, serious props. Maybe you could try the "shoot fastinator?"

The shotty rate of fire will be the same if you both have it as the same level endorsement. I've seen some pretty weird stuff out of that shotgun. I've had guys one-shot kill me from a range where I couldn't reach them with the hurt gun. I just chalk it up to goofy glitches. The Gold RoF endorsement does affect the hurt/heal gun and is well worth it. You get juice faster when overhealing, and can keep turrets alive when they are taking a beating.
