I really enjoy this game, but I feel there is not enough to spend your money on. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could spend you hard earned dollars on new skills for your characters and new weapons for the classes. More powerful, more agile and better or different class skills that you can buy with those hard earned dollars. What do you think? I think it would be awesome, rather than spending them on pro tags and a custom class that is the same despite having the option to choose new abilities.
this game has been very ballanced out which would make the game more of whos played longer and saved more. as it is a good idea its just not plausible, i do like that fact of new wepons for certian classes tho i think someone brought up throing knives instead of ninja stars for the assassin. and new body styles would be cool as well
Skins would be fine as long as they dont mess with the pro's hitboxes too much. Example: Male assassin, Female support etc... Alternate weapon/skills could be fine if balanced properly, but would take a big amount of effort and be a pretty big risk since we currently sit on a nice level of balance. Example: Assassin could have a purchasable alternate smoke bomb that allows her to be immune to movement slows/freezes and skill drains for 5 seconds instead of having the flash effect that blinds turrets/bots/players. This skill could be used to counter freeze traps, shaveice, jackbot/gunner slams. Each alternate weapon/skill would need to have an upside and a downside in comparison to your previous weapon/skill so that things remain balanced. I think you should be able to buy some decorations for turrets built/upgraded by you. So that others and you can recognize who built/upgraded which turret. Example: Gimme smileyface turret NAO! Those would be fun...
It would also help you know which douche was stealing your turrets. There's already an inherent benefit to people hwo have played longer. People who have 6 custom slots open have an advantage, and that requires a lot of cash. There are a lot of people on here alone advocating multiple versions of the same custom class with slight variations to better handle specific circumstances.
I stated this in another post but will retype it here. New weapons would be a no. They make the game far too unbalanced overall - a new player would just simply get slaughtered. TF2 (PC) did add some new weapons - and sadly it messed with the balance - and new players have a LONG way to earn them. A reskinned weapons would be awesome, adds customization and to make the weapon "feel" different you could just add a death effect. Example would be the Assassins sword could become something like a lightsabre. Would have EXACT same stats so nothing to balance out. However upon killing someone with it - they would get set on fire. So since the effect only happens on death - doesn't break balance. Sniper could get a different Sniper rifle which will spawn ribbons/ads like the Tanks grenade from a person when they get killed with a headshot (headshot confetti) - wont do the screen spam just stuff flying from the body. Random things like this. So it keeps balance but would make for people wanting the weapon and thus play as them to earn it. I play support, but in all other games I am usually a sniper. If my sniper rifle could spawn headshot confetti - I'd play as him until I unlocked it. Other things could just be simply "plating" for the guns unlocked by kills after patch is applied. Would make for people to replay classes they stopped. Bronze plating at 100 kills, 250 silver, 500 gold. Other things that would apply to all classes but the actual unlock requires certain classes to be played. "Hats" - things like a hat similar to TF2 snipers (unlocked by playing sniper), a Hardhat (unlocked - support), night vision goggles (unlocked - assassin). Once unlocked all classes can use it. This would then introduce people playing as various classes to unlock them all.
I was thinking about the new weapons idea and, although new weapons always brings up massive changes, this could be a good idea if introduced with a very slight change to the standard weapon, but with a benifit/loss system to the weapon to balance it with the starting weapon, yet still giving you more customisation. For examples (differences are compared to the basic weapon):- Assassin Standard - Dagger Option 1 - Twin Daggers (+5% "Rate of fire" / -5% Damage) Option 2 - Double Edged Dagger(+5% Damage/ -5% "Rate of Fire") Assault Standard - Assault Rifle Option 1 - Machine Gun (+5% Damage / -5% Accuracy) Option 2 - Semi-Automatic (+5% Accuracy / -5% Damage) Gunner Standard - Mini Gun Option 1 - Chain Gun (+5% Accuracy / -5% Power) Option 2 - Gatling Gun (+5% Power/ -5% Accuracy) Sniper Standard - Sniper Rifle Option 1 - Urban Rifle (+5% Rate of Fire / -5% Power) Option 2 - Surpressed Rifle (+5% Power/ -5% Rate of Fire) Support Standard - Heal/Hurt Gun Option 1 - Healing Laser (+5% Healing Speed / -5% Range) Option 2 - Battlefield Healer (+5% Range / -5% Healing Speed) Tank Standard - Jet Gun Option 1 - Jet Propelled Gun (+5% Range / -5% Damage) Option 2 - Heated Jet Gun (+5% Damage / -5% Range) You get the idea! The change could be as little as 5% or I would say a maximum of 10% as it needs to be noticable but not too much! Or you dont even need to change the gun these could simply be perks, and you could chose to add one to your gun?
I agree i like the new weapon Idea as i stated in my wishlist. The weapons would have to be drastic changes as stated above. Just enough make you feel like your are creating your own personal character
