Hmm I love to shift queue things up but I feel like 1 thing is off. and that is shift-queueing and assists. If you tell someone to assist something, say a factory, you can't shift-click them away from it. So what you have to do is manually move them away, and then shift-click for them to queue up other things. Feels kinda clumsy. Two ways I think this can be changed, and this is obviously not a priority what-so ever. 1) Once the assistee has finished what they are doing the assistor then carry's on their queue. or 2) As soon as the assistor gets a new shift-clicked command they stop assisting. Thoughts?
I agree. I think that assist should always copy the orders that another unit has. I.e. if you get a bot to assist a factory with 5 doxen queued, it will assist that factory until the 5 doxen are built, then go on to do other things. You can add more stuff to the factory and the fabber won't assist them, it will go on with its allocated tasks. If the factory is infinitely queued, the fabber will infinitely assist it. Likewise if you get a fabber to assist another fabber, it copies its queue exactly.
As an addition I also felt like queue'd up buildings should be clickable. I.E When you queue up 5 Energy Generators you get the white wireframe... I think it should be possible for another fab that wasn't involved in the queue to be able to start making them. So you just press shift to show the white wireframe and then right-click on the one you want.
