Make the shaveice make pros and bots visible to other turrets and bots. This makes shaveice a great defensive turret and encourages people to work together to bring them down and gives a valid reason to build them.

They also distract Gapshots from weaker turrents, slow down Juiced enemies - 2.2 ShaveIce and Firebase will tear up Assassins, especially if your grapple them - and people have a weird obsession with destroying them.

I think hes talking about hit detection.. The turret will not detect a cloaked assassin unless it's hit.

I've never seen a rockit-turret shoot at an Assassin made obvious by a shaveice. Or bots for that matter. Perhaps I've been fortunate whenever I've played so that a bot or turret hasn't shot me. I'll double check today on MNC, but as far as I've ever noticed, shaveice do very little than slow you down and give you a cloud at your feet.

You know, I'd like ShaveIce turrets to be a bit more effective too. . . hmm.

Maybe shave Ice turrets should get, like a button or something to emit a pulse of ice? It would prevent the general aura for a while, but the pulse would freeze dead anything in the turrets range?

    I dunno, maybe too much.

Whilst this would be cool to watch, I still think just making the assassins and gremlins visible to bots and turrets whilst under the aura would make the shaveice turret a much more essential part of a base. I for one prefer a shave-ice to rock-it turret on spunky cola in some places.

I personally like Shave-Ice turrets the way they are. Sure the Pro who builds/upgrades net no cash but the benefit they provide is well worth it. I'll throw $100 to build Shave-Ice and even enough to upgrade it to level 2 ($200) just to help out with defenses.

Juiced Assassins are a big hurdle for any base defender to overcome and, even though you earn no money directly, with Shave-Ice turrets it helps them control and earn money a tad bit easier. So yea you may not earn money directly but the benefit it has on your team as a whole is greatly overlooked.

The other problem with shaveice is that they're stupidly easy to hack :)!

    ShaveIce hat - $14.99

    DO IT UBER

As one of those unfortunate souls who gets backstabbed next to the Moneyball while waiting for my health to regenerate, I approve of this idea. I didn't really understand the OP, but now it all makes sense and stuff.

It's not so much about flat-out preventing Assassin getting kills, it's about making the shave ice turret actually applicable. Admittedly it's great in Spunky Cola on the turret nub slightly outside of the base, just before the turret nub near the ejector. It's also good on spunky cola at the back of the base where a rock-it turret would usually be, since it is out of the way and can slow the bots going for the money ball.

However, most other maps simply leave the shave ice being un-used.
Whilst on the topic of turrets and their uses, Lazer Blazer turrets are far too weak. Level 3 Hack 3 Turret got a tank juice in literally two seconds. He didn't look at all worried about dying, just stood there and deployed. I didn't build the Turret, I just hacked it in the hope that it'd shoot so fast and do so much damage that even the tank couldn't stand there long enough to juice off it. Low and behold as soon as I saw him deploy I went over to him to shotgun him but he'd juiced before I could get there and just death blossom'd me.
