Shammas' Competitive MNC Guide

I am taking it upon myself to post this. I hope Shammas doesn't mind. I'm sure GP will let me know if I need to remove it.

I know he wishes the MNC community would have a larger competitive player base. Maybe this will help.

I was browsing GameFaqs and found this Guide.

Regardless of anyone's feelings towards Shammas, I think it's worth a read. If you have something to add, please do.

They are here to for the most part, it's just human nature. A few people listen, but it's hard to tell people that you are more experienced and they are wrong, without sounding like an arrogant dbag.

But Kckzi... we are arrogant dbags.

One sensitivity and bronze accuracy on Sniper...? I guess I have some testing to do later.

An excellent read. Pity Shammas is rather blunt, otherwise he could play well with us forum kiddies.

Even though I hate his attitude, this is a very good guide, and he is a very good player. I actually learned from it.

Yes, they do apply to public games to, but not all public strategies apply in competitive play. It was written to get people out of bad habits that develop in public games (where they can go 80-0 consistently), but aren't quite sure why they are ineffective when playing privates.

i dont think anybody who has the ability to go 80-0 consistently needs a guide on how to play.

That was a very interesting help to me. I am going to try some of those builds he mentioned.

I guess what he means is that when you're up against decent competition, you can't overstretch yourself. If you constantly play against people who aren't as good as you, you'll start pushing your luck and take silly risks.

i've never seen anybody in game go over 50-0 after countless hours of playing...if you can put up those kind of scores on a regular basis, even against people who havent prestiged, i think you have a pretty good idea of understanding how to play aggressive/passive.

It's possible that he was exaggerating for effect.

which is why i said 50 instead of 80 and "those kind of scores"

@Peachy, the builds and startegies work in pubs if you get your teamates to work with you. Otherwise your best running a low armour build with high firepower to have that little extra to outlast the countless armourless builds but the high firepower lets you kill people quickly.

gold/silver armor builds work well for me...i use the same builds no matter who im playing against

I do as well, but i find i can put up more impressive numbers running acc/rof/armour on an assault.

not me... i feel like silver ROF is enough firepower on its own. the more health i have the more aggressive i can be.
