I got it... I think it's like the first game to have an achievement for tea bagging lol. I would play Shadowrun a lot more if the community was bigger, I always have trouble finding games. Team killers are just a minor annoyance because they get booted quickly. Ok a conversation... Have you played the SNES and Genesis Shadowruns?

I get invites to play privates with the long going competitive community a few times a night. If you want I could organize a SR/MNC play day. Most of the top MNC kids played SR, especially the huge group that quit MNC after the 2nd Uber OT. We could even do a fun game of 2v6 or something like that, me and Himicane vs 6 MNC randies? Most of the videos are scrims/matches of my first serious tournament, which was full of heavy competition and I won(teaming with kids who had been pro since the game came out, being the first 2nd gen player(and only 2nd gen player) to win money at the game). Also on the 1st page of SR videos you'll see a lot of "scrim vs Boo Rad's team", which was my team. Most of them were tryouts, but we ended up breaking up all the teams that were even close to competition, and got an all-star lineup before the last OT didn't finish.
I met some of the Shadowrun developers at an industry night about a month ago and they mentioned they're big fans of MNC. I had never played SR before and decided to check it out when it went digital recently. I'm still very early in the game and there's some interesting mechanics but I felt the tutorials were way too long. As a complete noob, what class do you guys recommend I play?
I would recommend Troll. In my honest opinion, they are very op in that game. There is also Elf, it helps a lot being an Elf because your health can regenerate over time. Human, and Dwarf are characters that take time to perfect in my beliefs. Yes the tutorials are very dragged on, but they help in the long run. Oh Deadeye, i really don't care for your videos. I was bored by your montage because you ruined a great intro video of Thundercats by saying you are Lion- O. SUCH A DISGRACE.
LOL. My montage was a complete joke, and mainly to maincase my badass elf-minigunning in the credits. The Thundercats was an inside joke because that was our team name, and it was done completely by my teammate with very little effort. Watch some of my tournament gameplays, you'll learn something.
I was bummed when I heard FASA was closing its doors. If you run into anyone from Smith & Tinker, tell them to hurry it up with the MechWarrior reboot. It's been too long since I've played a good mech game. Back on topic, I was always a fan of using the human with teleport, enhanced vision, wired reflexes, and a shotgun (with a rifle for those less personal encounters).
I would say be a Troll, If you don't have anti-magic grenades or cant pop off a head shot with the sniper rifle you will need 2-3 guys to take one down (assuming they are fairly decent at FPS's) Trolls have low magic but passively use their magic to raise their armor when shot (Making them able to take the most damage out of the classes) The extra health is good to help new players learn the game abit. Buy tree of life and stay away from anit magic grenades and dwarfs, Stick with your team mates and you should do pretty well (A Troll and 2 other people usually convinces an enemy to teleport away) The other spells are a matter of play style and Trolls are not particularly recommended to use tech.
I'd say Elf since you naturally regenerate health and you have a high level of Magic. Although because of that high amount of Magic players expect you to be able to Resurrect everyone. My second choice would be the Dwarf just for the fact that it's a great all-arounder race. I think my brother still has SR and if he does I'd love to play a game with you some time Eka. And yea Billy it was sad to hear about FASA but at least Microsoft kept the servers up for it.
See, I think this is why I was always the designated 'troll killer' on my team. I always played Dwarf. I loved killing Trees and negating Elf healing/troll armor. But dwarfs take some getting used to in Shadowrun. I'd probably say that Human is the best way to go when you're just starting out. They have good health, good magic, techs don't take up magic spots, and they start with an extra 500 bucks in games; they're basically a jack of all trades. 'course you could just use a Troll with Smart Targeting(Is that what it's called? Maybe it's smartlink.. I don't remember... been a while) and a minigun. They're brutal when used right. Also, remember: Don't use your pistol on a troll unless you're positive you can get 8 headshots in a row.
I love Shadowrun. Its one of my favorite multiplayer games I've ever played. I also think it one of the most balanced games you can play. Its community has always been small but its good. Just to let you know, I'm not a great player in either one of the games, just about average. I only care about playing and having a good time with people. I just thought I'd throw that in there, because I know a lot of people take these games serious and get mad when you not some uber player thay has a 25-1 k/d ratio. Mines is under .800.
