So I've been doing this thing for a while as a sort of personal experiment in honing my design skills and crafting a style where I've been making minimalist Pokemon posters over on deviantart once a day. Yes, I know, rather juvenile subject matter, but the little critters are just so colorful and make for great subjects.

So, I've been playing MNC quite a bit, so I figured for a change of pace I'd start making some MNC posters as well. First in the series is The Tank, as he has been my personal favorite class to play.

Comments, critiques? My work is constantly evolving, so it's always nice to hear constructive criticism. Will be releasing more posters here as I complete them, and my deviantart can be reached....Here

Interesting take but for me there are two distinct traits that define the look of the Tank. When we first started concepting Tank and Gunner, I wanted Tank to have an overall ellipsoid feel where its thinner from head to fatter near the feet. In contrast the Gunner is trapezoidal, top heavy and tapers to the feet. To distill Tank down to a minimalist version, I would play off the the egg shape or the beard. Those two things for me define the Tank.

Very interesting, I'm a fan of the egg-shaped armor. I think that's one of my favorite traits of the ole' hard-luck heavy hitter. I'll definitely keep this in mind for future posters, perhaps if I do a group poster where all 6 classes are distilled down to the most basic shapes. Thanks for the feedback and the great source material!

That typeface is hurting my soul.

I like the style, I like the texture, but the rounded letterforms look juvenile to me. If it was a nice sans serif like Helvetica Neue or even a serif like The Mix, I think it would look a lot cleaner.

Also, you don't have to make the copy fill the whole bottom of the image. I know that is what you were doing with the pokemon posters, but from looking at some of your other work I can see you understand how to have a nice type composition.

Incredibly valid, I will probably be updating this one some time soon. Unfortunately playing the game has been cutting way into my time, I need to get back on the ball in terms of my art work. Thanks for the feedback, definitely appreciated to know that you've been looking at my other work as well.
