My basic problem is simple - the server list for online games hangs at "refreshing" and never finds any servers. I can sit there all day and wait and it will still be "0 servers." First off, I've tried all the obvious things. Port forwarding, firewall disabling, bypassing router, etc --- but none of that has changed it at all. Still no servers. This is getting ridiculous, I just want to play the game online. Googling the problem hasn't helped at all because the only thing people suggest is everything I've already tried.
...yes. I'm not dumb. I've been trying to fix this since I bought it during the sale last week. Kind of bummer buying an online multiplayer game that you can't even play online. Server lists show up fine in every other Steam game and I've never had problem with port forwarding or anything - even though I've tried all those things. Made myself DMZ, forwarded ports, modem straight to computer, etc. Nothing. I doubt anyone besides Uber can help me, but I figured I'd ask. I'm guessing anyone who replies is just going to list things I've already tried, or obvious things.
I don't have the answer that will fix this issue. but i can offer you a workaround. I build a feature on my Webbased Server Browser for exactly these issues. Go to http://vps10217.xlshosting.net/?p=browser Click on "Install Url Protocol" and run the installer Go Back to http://vps10217.xlshosting.net/?p=browser Press the green play button next to the server of choice. This will launch the game and it will automatically join the server.
