I really would like this issue fixed. I never found out how it's done, but apparently there's a way to glitch your club tag so that it completely hides your gamertag from view in-game. The only way I can find the person's identity is to go to the scoreboard and view the profile. This is unacceptable. This makes it harder to communicate about the opposing team and if more than one person is doing it, I can never be confident I'm getting the same person. I'm not looking to grief by picking on some low-level rookie I know I can get. I simply have an interest in identifying players who are the greatest threats and watching them. Furthermore, it makes players harder to spot in the first place by making their names smaller. I often use the names to find players that would otherwise get by me.

1st: You can easily find out who it is by muting them then unmuting them in the lobby.
2nd: You do this by putting a > or < then putting before 3 other letters, or nothing following it. I can't remember which one it is at the moment.

Like I said, I already know how to identify them (though the muting specifically did not occur to me). I should still be able to see them in-game, and the larger name is actually a bigger issue to me than the communication.

Throwing a < into your tag makes everything after it disappear, I'm guessing the game reads it as part of a script(albeit functionless) and therefore doesn't display it. I found that out in the first Crossfire game I wanted to use a different tag for... [<3] Wandrian Wvlf didn't quite work out, needless to say.

For a minute there, I thought I was the one with 94 kills.

Yes, this is a know issue as is any other Club Tag bugs. I am sure they are going to fix it but the question really is when will they send the next patch to Microsoft?

As for seeing who it was you can also see their name in the kill feed.

That doesn't help if he's trying to identify them on the field.

Um...it's actually quite easy. Since you can see the 3 letters as if it was their tag just call that out. I mean we had a match and this guy's tag was just [?] and we were just calling him "question mark." I mean it can only be 3 letters, or none, is it that hard to come up with something to identify that Pro?

I understand it's a burden but, like everything else, just learn to deal with it for now. I barely even see anyone doing this anymore anyways.

F5in, I though so but I wasn't so sure. It's funny you say that because I was debating on whether or not to add that to my post. I didn't want to state something that was false. :D

Not when all six players have the same tag using the < glitch.

True enough, the full name appears in game, but as far as I've seen, that is only true as far as Kill Feed and mute/unmuting.
I've yet to see a case where someone with the glitch has the name appear above their character's head on the map.

    But that's just me.

Calling them out by their glitched tag is a way to remedy this, of course, if you can even READ it. In my case, my tv is so small that I can hardly read a character's FULL name, so I just call people out by class and location.

Therefore, this problem itself doesn't really apply to me--however, I threw in my two cents because I can relate at least somewhat.

Hey Oby,how big(small) is your TV? Mine is like 14 inches....
And whats up with your sig? You've stopped being scared of me and actually start to like me?

I dunno. I've had it for like 8 years and the VCR portion (it's a TV/VCR) is broken. It's pretty small, haha.

And I changed it because I figure as soon as I see you, I'm dead or I'm not. Just as it would be with any other player. Just not as quickly. Haha.

For the record, I do recall an instance where a Gunner got me and I still saw no name there. I'll have to watch for it happening again.

I know that the full name appears in the killfeed and when you look at your teammates, and I'm 90% sure it also appears when you look at your enemies.

Killfeed shows nothing but the person's GT, and doesn't show clubtag at all.

Teammates always see the full clubtag/gt, and I'm pretty sure if you see them close up and see their name it shows the full GT and all.
