Screenshot Wars!

With a tiny bit of encouragement in another thread (it really didn't take much!), and to show our appreciation of the fantastic game Uber are developing, I thought it'd be great to create an "Ultimate Screenshots" thread.

The only rules are ...
1) Link your screenshots rather than upload them (don't want to flood Uber's server!), and
2) your screenshot has to be as epic as you can possibly make it!

I've actually got two submissions at the moment, so here goes:


The enemy commander escaped through his gateway about 10secs before this nuke landed; gotta love those lighting effects though!

It just shows the destruction at it's finest in the game.

(BTW, what GPU do you have? I play 1080p, 175% scaling on GTX 780)

I see you have custom skybox on.

You should play with:

• alpha pgen
• team lathe
• team fab shader
• team ubder cannon

...as well, to help make your screenshots look even better.

you might also want to look into changing Ambiant occlusion values as I linked to in my mod thread to make things look better.

Here are a couple from the third round of Cloak and Dagger (the match I was in):

The 2nd one is amazing.

Wow. I really like that second one, the one with the booms.

Me too, I love their new effects. I've been meaning to get some shots of them for a while, and will probably make sure they're in the next couple of batches

I envy you people who can play with highest graphics, I could play with solid 30 - 60 fps at the beginning of the game with them... if my game didn't have a horrible time trying to get into the game in the first place. >:l

The Boom explosion looks oddly... liquid-y.

If you want to make screenshots, try staying in low settings until you have the shot you want, pause it and change settings to uber. That's your best shot anyway.

Well I know I can play on Uber graphics, but my game seems to have an odd bug. Joining games takes WAY too long.

I mean like- I go into the lobby, load the planet, then loading the in game planet is super slow, in fact.. the oddest bit is it actually loads FASTER if I restart the game, and rejoin, generating the planet and then loading the planet... That's faster than the initial loading time... It's silly.

(It normally takes so long that I can't choose a spawn even)

I can run Uber graphics on a size 1000 Earth planet, I've done it before... Takes me a while to get to the party, but once I'm there I have a nice time is what I normally say to people.

You have my pity. I grew up playing on Macs.

I think it looks cool very easy to spot whether your Bomb-Bots are reaching their targets on the battlefield too.

Is that rusted wreckage in the third one?? o.o Looks great! :-D And what's the white glow on the horizon, looks like some kind of explosion?

@websterx01 - I've updated my original post with my system details, but it's the latest 27" iMac with a 3.5ghz quad-core i7, 16gb RAM and a GeForce GTX 780M (4gb RAM)

@tatsujb - I have a custom skybox yeah, which gets changed regularly The rest of the graphics I leave with Uber's defaults. As to Ambient Occlusion, I'll have a look into that, ta.

@BradNicholson - you guys built it, I just played the game and lined up the camera! Glad you liked 'em though :-D

Yeah, I like it.

But it's just liquid-y, it's weird.
Like, it looks like an explosion of plasma, but it doesn't deal nearly as much damage as plasma would.

It looks like something out of Gravity Rush.
