Playing as the Sniper in Monday Night Combat

So first off, you need to pick whether you are going to stay back, also known as "camping" with your sniper. One who would work on turrets and snipe people, which usually means you will get some assists due to some maps with unreachable targets. (e.g. Steel Peel or Grenade 3.) And the second choice of a sniper which is my personal favorite, which is pushing. Pushing is the act of going closer to they're base, being a little aggressive. Some examples are standing on the right upper side with some traps posted up right where people would land if they took the jump pad up on LazerRazer Arena. Stuff like that.
    Now for endorsements.
I have two sniper classes set up.
    One with the following
Armor 3, Rate of Fire 2, and Clip size 1. Which is my primary.

Now my other one which i RARELY use is Rate of Fire 3, Armor 2, and Clip Size 1.
It all depends on preference. But both are great.

    "Camping" Sniper

The first way of the sniper is the way of staying back or camping. This is more of beginners type of playing. So if you are just starting as a sniper this is a perfect way of playing. Now when you first start off the game. I would suggest using the secondary class, which is the Rate of Fire 3, Armor 2, and Clip Size 1. It helps when you are trying to pick off a gunner or an assault faster when they are almost unsee-able. Now the skills you definitely wanna when rocking this class are your Sniper (grey, bottom) and your Traps (yellow, top). Get your sniper upgraded to 3 off the bat, then get your traps for bots or for pesty little assassins that keep commin' for you. From then on out upgrade your Flak (blue, left) and your Grappel (right, red) accordingly. Now the key is to keep picking off those bots to get juice very fast. Sense you don't have that great of armor, people, gunners espically, can take you down FAST. So juice may be required to kill them. There isn't much to say for maps because you basically do to the mundane routine when playing a "camping" sniper. That concludes details on the "camping" sniper.

    Pushing or "Aggressive Sniper"

This is the secondary, and personaly my favorite way of playing as the sniper. If you are going to be playing this way of the sniper i recommend you have some experience playing as him because you must be very aware of your surroundings. I use the first class listed which is Armor 3, Rate of Fire 2, and Clip size 1. The Armor is very useful because you will be getting hit quite a lot. So to start off the game you are going to want to buy your Traps and your Grappel first, the Grappel can be substituted for the Sniper skill. But if you buy the sniper skill i highly recommend you buy your Grappel immediately once you get 150$. The Grappel will you useful if someone on the other team gets a little too "close for comfort" and tries to take you down. Just make sure you get them the hell away from you then take them down with an SMG. When you are pushing, be very aware of what's going on. If you see a take charging you and giving you the stare like he wants your head on his plate, back up and take some shots at him, then take him down with an SMG and your flak. Just don't let him get close to you. Him or the Gunner. Now supports are easy money, just give the good ol' 1, 2 and send them flying out of the Arena. Assaults can be tricky little buggers, but what I do is trick them somehow into my traps and just get them in the face. But also an Assault with no Armor or 1 Armor dies with a level 3 Grappel. And if they don't die, try and finish them off with the SMG. Assassins... Nuff said. No, really lol, but when you are fighting assassins, just give them a Grappel and they are dead, unless they have 3 armor then a clean up kill with an SMG or a Flak is necessary. Now when you are you pushing you are going to be using your traps a lot. And basically on every map you are going to be rushed most definitely so place your traps at the landings of jump pads and watch out. If you hear your trap go off, aim for the face and send them back to the spawn room. If multiple people come attacking you, say 3. 2 being Assaults and one being a sniper, pick off the 2 Assaults and just Grappel the Sniper. And do not get mad if an assassin kills you from the back, because going after an assassin with rage in your heart is a big no no. They will kill you time and time again. Just leave em' be and swap to the other side of the map. There isn't much else to be said other than the fact of Aim for the head, and wrap that tool guys.

Always remember the game is about fun, don't get frustrated if you don't do so well at start. It does take some time. Just have fun learning a new class! AND GET TO IT!

Midget, you and I play the Snipah the same aggressive way. Right down to the endorsements even. Way to go chap. We should partner up some time and take different parts of the map. We could lock down both bot lanes. G3 would be a slaughter house.

on more of a serious note, i think its worth mentioning that as either playstyle, you generally dont pick skills till you are at your sniping location. i don't know if you do it on purpose or not, but it is pretty effective.
