One thing this game really needs is a save feature. My time is very small, so I usually save (or at least intend to) a skirmish the first day and then finish it off the second. Or the third. Or the fourth. Or I already finished it, but I want to keep the replay for pride and bragging rights.

So when is the save feature coming in? PA's mostly in a playable state, which is good.

Long term Saves are being incorporated into the Chronocam stuff, so having the 'replay' file will allow you start the game from any point within that file.

Yes, but realistically only against the AI, or the same original group of players, or else the results will be skewed

No, not yet. Just keep watch and you'll know when it is.

Hopefully this question hasn't been asked and answered, but if you can reload a "save" of any old games from the chronocam, are you going to be able to load up a multiplayer game and then swap in AI for the absent players? Like if you just want to play with a certain situation by yourself?

It has been mentioned, the things is that I don't think we know yet if the AI will be able to handle that and/or how well it'll be able to manage, I think it's something they want to do though. You should ask that to Sorian in his Sticky topic in the Backer's Lounge.
