One of my friends recently purchased the game and is getting the black planet bug again, hes got the newest version of PA and an AMD rhadeon 512 mb. He has the same model computer as me and the same graphics card he has a mac as do I and we have tried everything but he is getting the same black planet bug. Any suggestions?
Currently hes using a mac to play his games, i never remember him using anything other than mac, it could be something with the beta the devs give you when you buy it since he bought it today

Its not a black screen its the black planet rendering bug, no structures rendered just a black planet, you cant see anything besides what you build and the green dots, it could be a problem with steam, he bought it through steam but i bought it through this website
Please ask your friend open Steam client -> then in top bar choose 'Help' -> 'System Information' copy all of it -> post output here. It's contain all required information about his Mac. Few screenshots also will be really useful, also your friend need try to disable HDR and anti-aliasing if it's enabled.

It's looks exactly like what I posted about. Can you ask him to check thread I posted? Most likely everything will work of he'll wait before planet generation indicator turn green.

Im the one who is having the problems. Thanks for the quick feedback but unfortunately nothing worked from that list. I did notice that when I pressed F5 I got RBD colours for a few seconds and then they disappear and nothing changes. I tried the download from Steam as well as the uber website but to no avail. Do you have any other ideas to try or should I wait until the new update is released?
Not at moment. I'm need to dig for Mac issues for bit, probably somebody who track them might know situation better.
