for those that aren't pc gamers LoL is league of legends a pseudo diablo/ rts game that handles sort of similar to how crossfire handles. The problem is support players for a long time in that game did not get the credit they deserved, so many times the end of game chats were. Hey healer class character you suck cause you killed the least amount of things. even if they spent the entire game basically keeping the other players alive. So I jsut played biltz as my custom support. however at the end....yep...lowest score. I spent the entire time running all over the map keeping all of our turrets healed and running back to the center trying to keep the other 3 players healed as they all jogged for position trying to kill the most guys in the main 2 spawn gates. Could there please be a stat for healing so at least it shows I'm doing an adequate job?
No offense but there is -alot- more to Support then just making sure every green bar is silver. You can easely keep people resonably over-healed and still get just as much kills and turret destructions as any one else, if not more. It's also really not even a healer class, it's a very versatile utility class that can heal aswell. Just try out those other buttons, they are good i heard!
I love how fifty percent of the threads in this forum are about support being broken, except for this one thread saying he doesn't get the credit he deserves. wut? I think this is why more supports don't heal teammates and stick to base maintenance: it's not that fun and it's almost thankless.
