I have searched high and low and can not find a clear answer on how to run a dedicated server. All I keep seeing is that I need the game installed, but what do I do from that point?
Ok found how to do it in game, but I can't join it. Is there a way I can host on a server without having to run the game. Server has no graphics card. It uses remote desktop. Or is this something coming after beta?
You can launch a server from command line or batch file, there's a thread here detailing how to do it.
And if you happen to run into the bug in which the first person to join freezes the server and crashes it, many other people, myself included, get this when they try to make their own servers and the community/Uber hasn't found a direct way to fix this yet. :?
