Can we get an option to see under the ground with say GPR to look at resource deposits, or perhaps a toggle that shows us the areas with the highest resources? I think resources work like that right? Where you can build extractors in places with higher yields?
Unconfirmed, but I hope not. Uniform deposits are very user-friendly and easy to grasp, also means there can be easy to identify markers for where Extractors can be placed like in SupCom. Mike
Oh, sorry i never played Supcom or TA (Much to my loss) so i didn't know. I was getting the impression that there were non uniform deposits, like Mountain biomes would be richer in metal then deserts, and grasslands would have rich or poor spots. I assume that would be over the top in complexity, thanks.
In a handful of games that I have played, resource output only depended on the level/ tech of the building, which would mean that if they were built on a moon, then they wouldn't run out.
It's very easy to have richer deposits by just placing more spots. The size of a deposit is still useful for tweaking alternate mechanics, such as determining the value of a large extractor. In TA, moho mines were most useful on large deposits and ended up far less useful on the small ones.
You know there's a fix for that, right? Total Annihilation on GoG.com for $6 Original Supreme Commander on Steam for $15 (though you may want to wait for a sale)
