I apologize in advance if this has been requested elsewhere, or if I'm not supposed to request mods. I did search the rules and saw no restriction, and searched the threads for anything that might be relevant but didn't find it. If I missed something, again, my apologies. I'd like to see a mod that provides a way of easily identifying which fabbers and factories are working, and which are idle. Not sure if it's even possible, maybe uber plans this for the final release and so it's pointless. I really don't know. But it seems very sensible to me so I'm surprised it isn't already a feature baked right in. I could see this implemented in a variety of ways, some more complicated than others, but if I were able to make it myself, what I think would be awesome would be an icon that popped up for each of my fabbers which reflects that fabber's status. Green if the fabber has a build queue, yellow if the fabber has just one item it is building after which it will become idle, and red for an idle fabber. Fabbers which have been assigned to assist other fabbers could be collected under a single "supporting-fabbers" icon positioned next to the icon for the one fabber they support. Selecting fabbers would just require that you click their respective icon, either the icon for the fabber, or the icon for the fabbers assigned to another fabber, which would select the lot of them. Maybe left click the supporting-fabber icon to select them all, right click it to cycle through them 1 by 1... Factory icons would work the same, with a supporting-fabber icon next to the factory icon to provide quick access to fabbers assigned to that factory. An icon for the commander (with a supporting-fabbers icon for any fabs assigned to it) that had the same color scheme would be fantastic. I really wish I knew how to code this myself but since I don't, I guess I have to beg. Thanks for reading, and I welcome any feedback/responses. Cheers!
I think the API does not give us the information we would need for this. But I am sure something like this will be implemented down the line.
