    Still, it'd be nice to have slow-moving vehicles with Umbrella-type guns ^^

    bluehawks stingrays and catapults have been able to shoot orbital for the last couple of patches. Longer if you've been using Orbital warfare overaul. ;)

    Bluehawks do reduced damage to orbitsl, but yeah, great for invading anchor defensed planets.

    Orbital in vanilla is getting better, we just need a few more orbital units, I.e fast moving avengers with low damage (orbital equivalent of dox) and slower expensive hard hitting spaceships (orbital equivalent of inferno) just to give an example. I would also make a lot of the new orbital units really expensive T2 so that they are mainly used to battle over gas giants.

    I could dig a heavier battle orbital unit, built in orbital factory and unable to transition orbits and is slow and lower range. Then, avengers just have to fight it out with them and try not to get circled.

    Have you tried orbital warfare overhaul? It doesn't change the vanilla balance at all, really. It just adds more orbital units, like you've been saying you want.

    You don't understand. I don't like gameplay mods, I prefer vanilla gameplay implemented by Uber.

    Right, and the gameplay in orbital warfare overhaul is the same. We made sure of that. we just added new orbital things.

    Unless I got a funny install, I was going through modding, and on the bluehawk's weapon, it says "WL_LandHorizontal","WL_WaterSurface","Orbital"

    ...wouldn't that be a problem? I checked the orbital fighter, and then changed this to WL_Orbital just in case.

    EDIT: And is in every tactical missile's ammo .json, including missile ship and likely catapult.
