Yeah, I am asking for an easy modding program. I could imagine it would be intensive to make, but it would be a program similar to PAMM we already have, as it already reads a mod folder as well as changes and reads all the fields in the .jsons in the mods folders. This program would just have to read a single folder, be it pa/media or a mod folder, and read all the units, ammo, tools, ect in it. I edited the example picture below from C&C Renegade's "LevelEdit", to look like what PA needs.
how about making a program that has sliders for all of the variables that can be adjusted for each of the JSON files.
I'd be interesting in heading up this project. But right now I'm working on a couple of other programming projects so I won't be able to start for a month or two. As for the UI tools I'm guessing atom shell would work best since PAMM and PA Hub both use it. I'd have to spend some time learning it though since I haven't used it before. Once I've written the base of the program it would be nice to have some other coders to help. That way we could split up the workload and implement requested features faster.
I thought Uber was going to make a modding application themselves ? they've asked for a list of desired features a long time ago but I guess nothing came out of it yet. I'd love to have a full featured modding application that handles everything from modifiying units to adding new ones, to publishing the mod on PAMM. I've tried following guides on how to get a mod packaged and on PAMM but I just can't seem to figure it out, even a new step by step guide would be helpfull
