Is it possible to create a mod that allows the AI to build Naval units? I uh... I replaced every reference to every factory in the AI files pointing at the basic naval factory XD It did diddly squat.
The AI is in the Game code itself, at can´t be edited by Mods. and editing files of the Game is not allowed so far i know
Although a copy of the AI files is included in the game directory, the AI itself runs off the server, so only reads the server copy of those files - meaning (as you found out), changing them on your computer won't have any effect. We won't get to play with this part until Uber release the PA server, unfortunately.
Mods are by definition editing files of the game Hehehe I know. Let's say that when I say "create a mod", I mean "Sorian places it into the server copy of the files".
