Almost says it all in the title... Rebuilding a commander from its wreck. This could be useful ind multiplayer armies and large games with six or more armies. If you could get ome extra commander. From your enemy you technically doubble your chances of survival by spreading them around. By writing this on an ipad i am sure there is a little mistakes here and there, sorry.
When a commander goes bang, there isn't any wreckage left. Indeed, a commander explosion can take large chunks of base out at the same time, and won't leave as much base wreckage as would happen if you lost your base to (for instance) regular artillery fire etc.
with enough commanders on your side I see a Journey to the Center of the Earth ahead edit: thinking about it an interesting question comes to mind: will it be possible to create a crater which has too steep sides to drive tanks out of? ok as long as you can't drive a side down which is too steep to drive up it shouldn't be a frequent occurrence, but it would be fun to throw your enemy down a hole, bulldozer inc
Think about it this way, if anything can create a crater deep enough to NOT drive out of, I doubt it'll leave any unit still functioning at the bottom. Mike
I remember in TA kingdoms if you had the Earth King you would be able to resurrect corpse in where you could build that nations Buildings and unit!
I initially thought, when reading title, a way to rebuild the base automatically after an area goes boom. Or have an outline of what was there before and at the fabs to task. Implementation is a curious endeavor. Anyway, what I thought when reading the title.
I once played a TA mod which left commander wreckage on death. Then just send out those trusty rez bot and shazam, Core and Arm units
Indeed, Balanced Annihilation had that (still might). Lead to all sorts of interesting stuff like players at the back in team maps Ctrl-D'ing their comms to get that extra mass. I remember once rezzing a comm I had defeated and using it to commbomb another enemy player, haha.
