I think that the star rating at the moment is useless and quite frankly bad for the game, it makes noobs want to be on the person with the highest stars side and stars at the moment don't mean **** all as I got to 5 star within 2 days and dropped all the way back to 2 star in 2 days. It's just a ego symbol which doesn't mean anything at all. The way it's set up is retarded as well due to if you win a game but with low kills then you will drop a star and to gain a star you have to win consecutive matches.
i once lost my 5 star rating, it went to 4... than went back to 5 two games later. i like it cause it makes me look kickass. devs want players to like looking kickass. star rating stays
I think the star rating should be removed for a different reason. Players should not have an indication of the skill of their teammates before a match. Period. The reason I liked the level system was because it measured experience instead of skill. Anyone could get a high level if they put enough time and effort into the game. There are people that will just never be as good as others. Loyal players should net get punished. Game time should be the bragging grounds in the lobby, money should be the bragging grounds on the scoreboard. I don't want it removed because the system is currently flawed, I want it removed because it's a bad idea.
I think knowing if some anti-social types are stacking the teams against you is pretty crucial; and I think it should be re-added to the mid-game scoreboard so I can determine if I'm being beat-down because I suck, or beat-down because my team-mates suck. If it's the latter, then call me anti-social but I don't want to be the one in the wheelhouse as the Titanic is going down.
In general, a kdr of below .5 (that's being generous, mind you) or 0 bot kills are both good indicators that a player is bad, or having a bad game (in the case of the former).
