We just had an incredible close match with lots of good fun and it went to overtime. It would have been nice to play another match with the same (or at least similar) teams. Maybe we could have a rematch option that would allow to keep the teams intact after a match that went to overtime? There should be some sort of a vote and I'm not sure if the map should change or not. What do you think? You can revote later if you see a compelling argument that changes your mind.
I think a solution which fix the incredible uneven teams would fix the problem and made a rematch unnecessary. Simple things like even the number of players of both teams are missing. No, the game starts with 3 players on one side and 4 on the other. Same in game: How often games ended after a few minutes because of playing 6 vs. 4. These are things which are easy to detect and should be not very hard to fix. A simple auto switch the last joined player solution or something like that would help. Another problem are the uneven teams because of the player skill. In this case: When a games end in overtime or close to overtime why mixing teams completely new? Here would a vote be great. If 1/3 wants new teams, then mix, otherwise play the next round with the same team. A next map vote would be great, too. So you could add the option of a rematch. A rematch with new teams is possible, too. But the vote(s) must be placed after the match or before the next round. The lobby would be a great place. The teams will be mixed there, but how it is with the map? When the map is completely loaded after the lobby a map vote shouldn't be a big deal.
When a game goes to overtime, it usually means my team was unable or unwilling to make any offensive effort, so I spent most of the game frustrated. New teams please!
Or the opposite team made no effort offensively. Either way, more and more I am joining pugs where everyone just farms kills and saves their juice and makes a rush in OT to win. Usually one side will constantly push, and the other side will turtle in and play defensively. Then right before overtime everyone will stock up and juice and the game will be over quickly. Usually defense fails in OT (not always but against skilled, juiced players it's usually a waste) so the best thing you can do is try to down their moneyball quicker than yours. ON topic, I think a rematch is fine, but overall I think overtime needs some rework, but that's for another thread I guess.
