So PA needs a certain minimal screen resolution and especially people with 1024x768 screens basically have big issues playing the game, because the UI does not scale well with small non-widescreen resolutions.

So this mod allows to use "ctrl" + "+" and "ctrl" + "-" to zoom like you do in a browser. You can also press "ctrl" + "shift" + "+" to reset the zoom to 1. The zoom level is specific to the scene you are in. So you can have a different zoom level on i.e. the server browser than ingame.
    So some screens on 1024x768:

    default mainmenu:

    zoomed a few steps down:

    the server browser without zoom:

    zoomed:

    the lobby:

    and zoomed:

Note that i.e. the score screen is an extra scene within a scene. You have to zoom it extra, it is not actually part of the ingame scene. Just click into it and press ctrl - to zoom it down, so it will look somewhat like this:

Note that the server browser has some bug that breaks it below a window width of 1000 pixels though.
Also the zoom doesnt make it perfect. I.e. the live_game scene will have major issues if you zoom it down too much, but I think it should be playable. Needs testing.

It also seems to break the armory, have not investigated further. The armory isn't the most important of PA as of now...

It's on pamm (https://forums.uberent.com/threads/rel-pa-mod-manager-v4-0-3.50726/), search for "scaleUI"

Sounds like a mod I thought of, and was considering maybe possibly doing.

Where you can literally drag every individual piece of the UI, rearranging it anywhere on screen in any shape. Possibly into drop down menus .

Can't wait to see what you got for us today.

Dang. Well, I will link this to the guy that requested it. Still very imaginable.

Modular UI, one day. Floating framework already makes it 99% possible...

I am not a fan of any sort of floating modular UI tbh, so never expect that from me.

Well you'll see how well it works with mods and stuff. I didnt test that much and just the default UI. Also any zoom out always creates empty spaces in the bottom.

I was unable to start a new Galactic War. Since this was the most recent mod, I disabled it and was then able to start.

The video intro screen was black. I could hear the audio, but not see the video or it's dialog; since you have to close the dialog to start, I couldn't continue.

Hmm yeah I can reproduce now. Have not investigated why it happens, before it worked for me. You can however press ESC to close the video and play.

    EDIT:
The reason is that there is some weird div with the id "fade" that is on top of all other divs and blocks the sight. No idea why it is on top. It probably is supposed to be betweenvideo and gw.

    EDIT 2:
released an update that should fix it

mod folder & modinfo id are different, current PAMM version can't deal with this

maybe that was the reason why it showed some weird error I did not understand. However it works as far as I can say.

New versions will not be detected if you don't change your id to "scale-ui", it seems to be the main drawback.

How annoying. Gonna release an update soon (TM)

    EDIT:
fixed, seems like pamm recognizes it as a completely new mod... well whatever

I think this breaks the armory. Won't fix for now, dunno why.

    EDIT:
Or maybe my armory is bugged in general...
