[REL] Legion Expansion [Released!]

    go to steam, right click on PA:T, click on properties, then go to 'Local Files' tab, then click the "Browse local files" button. There should be a file called version.txt . open it and change it to 89755. (no -pte). save it. close it. restart pa

    Probably that there are no pte servers so it recommends you to use that version of the game.

    that's a pte message and has nothing to do with Legion

    it means-

    if you want to play legion multiplayer and not locally against ai, you need to open the version.txt file in the PA root directory and change it to the build version specified. This will allow you to play it on the custom servers on stable PA that mikeyh has put up.

    That's a PTE thing not a Legion thing, it means you need to open the file version.txt which is at the root of your PA directory and replace its contents with "89755" (no quotes)

    Use ctrl+f to search your PA installation directory
    And you can see the version.txt
    Write 89755 in it!

    Thanks to all who helped us test Legion BETA on PTE. Many bugs and balance issues would not have been identified and resolved without you.

    With BETA soon coming to an end as we gear for release onto stable PA, we would love to hear your feedback on the mod and what we can improve to make it as fun as possible for everyone.

    • Mixed MLA/Legion armies now use a custom icon on the player list
    Balance
    • Starcannon nerf:
      • Pods can now be shot down by Bluehawks, Catapults, Stingrays and Panzers
    • Decimator buff:
      • Health increased from 1500 to 2500
    • Panzer nerf:
      • Missiles can now be shot down by GIL-Es
    Fixes
    • Removed an invalid ammo type to prevent errors
    • Panzer no longer misses at close range
    • Legion tag no longer shown in UI in non-Legion games

    PTE has gone stable which means the Legion Expansion is playable on Uber servers again. Have a trailer.

    May I ask a question?
    How does the Legion T2 lighting tank Havoc exactly work?

    In Legion PADB

    It has 3000 DPS.
    But I can't see more detail about this unit.

    It say that the lighting bounces to nearby enemy.
    But I don't know why the Havoc is countered by dox.

    Does the lighting only bounce 4 times?
    So it causes overkill when dealing with small units?

    I just tested out starting a match of Legion while playing Classic PA instead of Titans Expansion. Skirmish worked fine and played as expected, except without the MLA Titans units. Tried this out after playing an online Legion match that was NOT Titans Expansion that someone else was hosting. Legion worked both by launching Original PA from steam as well as switching to Classic from the settings after launching PA: Titans from Steam. Worked both in single player and online with AI. MLA vs. Legion. Is this a fluke? Could it be working because I own Titans even though I'm disabling it?

    Obviously Classic MLA vs. Legion is unbalanced, but a Legion vs. Legion mirror match would be fair and can be played right now without the Titans expansion. I'm curious if this is a temporary bug that will be removed or if it's allowed but unsupported? The legion page clearly states that Titans is required, but that isn't the case at the moment.

    Allowed but unsupported. The team hasn't done the testing needed to verify that it doesn't crash, and it seems likely that some units could crash it. Also as you said, balance is way off and there are no plans to create a Classic version.

    I tested this Legion(Supcom) shilds and strange how its working. You really don't need in great economy for it. When you got shild its not waste energy. It has energy consumption only when enemy units shoot(like -2000 for each shild). So 1 Legion t2 energy plant can hold 3 shilds.In my last game one enemy had not a great eco and like 40-50 shilds around and they all worked!! Heaven for turtle lovers in late game. Its totally not balanced with MLA in defensive game.
    Maybe i wrote something wrong but check your stuff in game before keep answer.

    You have to follow the links and read the code in order to fully understand how they work.
    Yes it bounces up to 3-4 times only with a long recharge.

    Havocs are like glass cannons that specialize in taking down high HP targets. They have a low fire rate with high damage. They do well against T2 tanks and Monstrosity but get overwhelmed by a cheaper/numerous force.

    Can i have a list which units(defensive structures) can ignore that?
