[REL] Chat Player Colours [57449]

This mod sets the colour of player names in the chat window to the colour of that player.

Installation
Current build: 57449 (version 1.1.0)

Step 1:
Install the PA Mod Manager: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/rel-ui-mod-manager-v1-2.50726/

Step 2:
Launch the Mod Manager and click Install next to "Chat Player Colours" on the "Available Mods" page.

Alternatively, download the rChatPlayerColour_v1.1.0.zip attachment on this post, and extract it to <PA Install directory>/PA/media/ui/mods/

Step 3:
Tick the box for "Chat Player Colours" in the Installed Mods list to enable to mod.

Havnt tried as i'm away. How does blue text over water look?

Both blues are still readable.

Ah cool, this is a real nice idea. Wonder how many official modders there will be. You Colin and oxide would be my choices. Always helpful with your mods. Thanks.

Just how many mods HAVE you written already, Raevn?

Not as many as you may think (only 4 small UI mods).
Alot of my work so far has been on tools (blender importer/exporter, planet type generator, mod manager) & reference documentation.

text shows up transparent for me, doesn't work. help me get it working.

I am not sure. let me delete media folder and install UI manager + Chat Player Colours.

Continues to work in build 56516.

It breaks chat in the current build. Only a colon appears when you chat. I don't know if other players are seeing the chat that is sent.

Hmm, so it does. Don't have time to fix it now, I'll look into it tomorrow.

Wondered why this was happening to me recently ^.^

Found the issue. Previously, a space was appended to the players' name, which my mod accounted for when trying to find the players' colour. Uber removed this extra space in 57164, so it could no longer match the player names.

Is there a way the mod can fail gracefully in case something like this happens in future builds?

I can see my own chat now, but not that of other players.

Do the other players' chat not appear at all or do you get the colon again?

Also, just confirming how you know whether they are sending chat messages or not?

Colon. Also, my chat was not coloured, though I think I was grey so it was hard to know for sure.
