Regarding Announcers

Is the current one a placeholder? I was hoping we'd be seeing(or hearing, rather) the return of JPL, he was in the trailer after all.
I'm not really a huge fan of the announcer in game at the moment, it just sounds too 'human', if that makes any sense.

I don't think we have got an official answer to that. I'd love to hear JPL's voice for pretty much everything in this game.

While I do like the current one, it would be cool to see JPL make a return.

I hope the fix the incredibly annoying bug where the announcer says "energy factory" and not something that makes sense, like "energy generator" or "power generator"...

Yeah... that one drives me nuts.

I think Brian is right that they put too much work into this to be a placeholder. I wouldn't be too surprised to have JPL come back in an intro video or cutscene though.

We better have some deep, syrupy JPL action going on SOMEWHERE in this game, why the hell do uber think so many people have bought it?!

The current one is excellent.

However, if Uber decide to put a JPL announcer pack as DLC I will snap it up in an instant.

who is JPL?

The guy who did the original TA voice-over *and* the voice work on the PA Kickstarter pitch video... I'm personally hoping they can get him back for the main intro to PA when it's officially released. I think the current voice announcements in game are fine, and that JPL would be too much all the time?
