First and foremost, I giggled like a little girl when I saw this. Not more than a couple days ago I was slaughtering the Core with 20 some odd Big Berthas.

In my book, Total Annihilation is the best RTS hands down. I had high hopes for Supreme Commander 1 and 2, while I was more impressed with the first one, I consider them both a disappointment for a multitude of reasons.

I and roughly 10 other people who religiously played and still do play TA strongly feel that if TA was made modern (improved graphics, improved AI, improved mechanics, etc), we would be perfectly happy. I am eager to see the development of this game fall into place. As well as support this game where I can whether it be as a multimedia developer or financially.

The best thing you can do is support us on kickstarter (and play SMNC!)

But I thought the money I've payed on SMNC was going to SMNC :O

Too bad Kickstarter only accepts credit cards, though. I don't have one and don't plan to get one as I do all my online purchases with PayPal.


Also, there is quite an acronym confusion going on with TA for Total Annihilation (which is a bloody hard to pronounce word for Germans, tbh) now resembling T:A (Tribes: Ascend) quite a lot.

Well it isnt Kickstarts fault. Sadly...

But you can still go to the planetaryannihilation.com webside and Donate there with paypal. It would just be intressting to know what Ueber will do with the Money if the Kickstarter Project fails. Couse Kickstarter doesnt charge you if the goal isnt reached.
Or if they count the money to the Kickstarter Page Money. Couse it would be strange if you get 100K via Paypal , 800K via Kickstarter and the Kickstarter Project itself would still fail. Or not?

It would be cool if Neutrino or somebody else could say 1 or 2 words to that, i know many german players that prefer paypal and dont have a creditcard. CC`s are not that common in Germany.

Yes, the kickstarter will fail unless it reaches $900,000. No matter what was donated via Paypal. Kickstarter.com does not collect if the project does not reach it's goal and there is no connection between the paypal effort and kickstarter.

Just as a thought, why couldn't Uber donate the paypal money through kickstarter, if it was close but not quite funded and there was enough paypal money? Of course they'd pay two sets of fees, paypal and kickstarter but at least the project would fly.

Reach 800 on kickstarter, make account, take 100k from paypall donation, pledge 100,000$

I honestly have never heard of Tribes:Ascend. TA meant epic RTS to me since I was like 12
