This topic is in regard to Liefglinde's post. I made a new topic because the original one is locked. I assume that this is because it has received the maximum number of replies. Forgive me if that is not the case.

I play with dbowiLL regularly, he can get aggravated some times but for the most part it usually is a justified response to people not using teamwork. Oh and he'll slag you if you start mouthing off.

In Deadeye's defense, can you blame him for playing with 1 other person and going for kills against a party of 4,5,6 or whatever? It's not like he lost $5,000 because he didn't win in a pub. It's pretty clear to me that his team would dominate every team on this forum but mine in a serious match.

Deadeye has no defense when HE BROUGHT UP THE GAME. I had no intention of posting anything about my experiences with him unless he came on here to run his mouth. He opened the door to this ridicule. Pub matches apparently don't mean anything, but he still uses them to talk trash about people, and posts about them on the forums all the time. If he is going to try and trash me in public, after LOSING the game, I'm going to defend myself.

It was 3 (Me, Bolt, Greg) + Randoms vs 3 (Deadeye, Himi, Gothic Kid) + Randoms unless Gothic was not in their party. Even then, he had a much higher quality "random" in Gothic than you could ever hope for in terms of capabilities in pubs. Himi was the only person seemingly doing anything remotely objective based other than Gothic frantically sniping bots when we pushed into their base 2-3 times mid game.

Plus their (possibly) random 99 support was syncing juice chaining really well with the rest of his team. If anything, WE were outnumbered.

I really don't care how good Deadeye is at "competitive MNC." Not many people here do.

I know they wouldn't play with Gothic, so he was in there by chance. And Gothic does the same thing and just goes for kills.

He appeared right at the same time and is a well known kill farmer. My apologies for being assumptive.

A modest observation:

Deadeye likes to brag a lot. Constantly talking about his KDR, how good he is at ShadowRun, how he makes level 99s wet themselves. The only logical reason for doing this is because he wants to be recognized as an elite player. While most people grudgingly admit that he's good at the game, they really don't care or respect him in the slightest because of his poor attitude and immature behavior.

Hudson on the other hand only brags when he gets a ridiculous kill that he thinks is hilarious. He's an overall nice guy, plays just for fun, contributes much to the community, and exhibits very fine sportsmanship, perhaps with the exception of merciless pub stomping which pretty much any decent player is guilty of. The result is that Hudson gets all the respect that Deadeye seems to so desperately want without trying nearly as hard.

Just something to mull over.

You hit the nail on the head with the hilarious kills I post about. I don't routinely pull of gapshot or product grenade triples, nor do I think I should be worshiped for doing so for these EXTREMELY lucky events.

Hudson.. I have to say, you are one of the weirdest nerds I've ever run across online. The Billy Mays thing is pretty off I have to say. I figured people made the comments about Billy Mays because you shot add grenades, but after seeing how bad you are with them, I realize it's probably more about forum posts/soundboard.

Potatowned.. I have a great attitude, just ask the people who play with me. I'm always laughing and making jokes, you kids just don't like it because they're at your expense.

Oh and about the game... You weren't outnumbered, you were simply outplayed. Good job juicing on turrets and sending in gremlins or whatever you did to sneak our ball down(we were 100% outslaying them when it went down). I'm really fine with losing to gay tactics in a pub when I spend the entire game LOLing while I 1v1 a fully overhealed tank. Thanks Hudson for saying I'm the best Gunner you've seen, it means oh so much!!<3!!

PS. I'm fine with being the most disliked/best player in a game. I've been there for 3 years

The product grenade came first actually. Billy Mays is inspired by Manny's picture in the MNC Wallpaper contest thread. I play the soundboard whenever people send me hate mail online, or occasionally when someone says something appropriate in party chat. Its quite satisfying to let people type out hate mail with the XBL controller, only to reply to them with Billy Mays pitching a random product.

Sometimes, its SUPER effective, and people will carry on entire conversations with Billy Mays. Billy Mays WILL sell you products, no matter how much hate mail you send him.

Edit: If you are trying to mock me buy putting my endorsement of you as the best gunner I've seen in your sig, I don't know what you are trying to accomplish. You can't even take an honest complement with dignity.

Devs can re-lock, I was misled into thinking the other one was locked based on post limit, not because of content.

What exactly is it that makes you work so hard at making others feel bad about themselves? I do hope that you realize that behavior is far more messed up than writing up a clever little Billy Mays sketch.

My guess? It seems something about you is absolutely terrified of failure. You seem to be very skilled at video games, but rather than branch out and play more popular games with bigger competition you like to be the big fish in the little pond. Even when faced with decent competition you play by your own rules, going for kills rather than what is considered a win in the game, and that way in your head you can still declare yourself the winner. When you do lose, you come up with endless excuses to justify it. In your mind you're the best regardless of any other outside evidence.

Let's assume you are the very best there ever will be at this game. Then what? What sort of accomplishment is that, especially if no one respects you for it?

I played popular games, getting top 12 for MLG in H2 a few years back. Got into SR right after it's peak, and stuck with it for 3 years through trying other 'popular' games but stuck with SR because it was the best shooter on console.. It's not like me to be playing MNC, it's TPS which I don't like, not too much skill involved with most classes, but I have fun making kids rage with Himi.. so I play it.

Ehh it's not really an accomplishment to be better than average kids at a Vidja game, but it's fun for when I'm not hanging with friends or going out, and it's even more fun making kids rage.

And I go for the win. The Gunner's main goal is to slay, and I do that very well.
