RAM usage

    So,

    like everybody, with Beta starting a game can be long, very long. We all know that. I decided to join a 1v1 on a 4 planets system, starting planet of size unknown.

    Never being able to join the game after several minutes. I was monitoring RAM at the same time.

    I doubt a lot of players can handle that: 10,9GB of memory just for PA. Not yet in the game...

    Yeah, there's a known issue with memory leaks. They'll get fixed over time. Probably worth clearing out the worst ones early, though.

    I wonder if Uber are using tagged memory allocations...

    Yep, definitely some memory leaks. I monitored other games, and a 1v1 on a 5 planets system, PA was unsing only 1,6GB... and then on a 2 planets system, it was taking long: memory leaking, I was at 6GB when I quit. A bit weird that it's not happening all the time.
