Rail Gun Help.....

I played xShammas the other day as an assault, and he was playing his usual RoF/Acc/Skill Tank. No matter what I did, he could hit me anywhere on the map. Whenever I play tank, I usually spam my railgun and hope it hits because whether I try to aim or not, I still miss.

Do you guys have any idea on how I can improve my railgun skills? I can take down normal gunners rather easily, but when I fight snipers, assassins, REALLY good clawing gunners, and assaults, it seems like nothing I do will hit them. My current tank builds right now are RoF/Acc/Skill and RoF/Armor/Skill. I like them both, but I am leaning toward the RoF/Acc/Skill at the moment because it has improved hit detection, but I am still not happy with my rail gunning.

I've been playing tank a lot these past few days. If you main tank like Shammas does, your aim with the rail gun is just going to come naturally. Might not be as good as his accuracy, but practice makes perfect.

Strafing can also benefit you if your trying to get a long range opponent who is shooting you. Other then that, play tank more often and you'll see a difference over time.

I am considering making a guide for no-armor tank. A lot of people complain about the tank's "lack" of armor without silver armor, but the tank actually has a lot of options available to him without using armor if one uses the rail gun properly.

It seems like when I play against small targets, I am just off by a centimeter or so on my screen, but that centimeter makes a big difference on whether the rail hits the target or not. I am so used to clawing with gunner, but clawing with the tank is MUCH different.

Please, for the love of god, don't post another guide, at least not a guide about that. You said so yourself you aren't very good with the tank; why the hell would you make a guide about something you're sub-par at?

Don't focus on timing the shots onto targets, but rather hold down RT and focus on keeping the circle on the enemy.

pretty sure he claws. besides practicing you really can't do anything specific to help your aim.

wow noone in the World can help u to aim better but i have a littel tip for railing don't aim on the central of ur target aim a bit left or right

say WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? How does that help? Isn't aiming at the target better, that's what I do and it works absolutely fine.

I didn't say I was a sub-par tank. I quite frequently have games where I have several kills and no deaths thanks to my awesome jet gun skills. I do think that my rail gunning could be better, and there are several ways to play no-armor tank btw. You don't just have to sit there and rail gun due to your "lack" of armor, here are some armorless builds that I have used with really good results and their recommended situations:

Ability Spam Tank: Skill/RoF/Acc
Sniper Tank: RoF/Acc/Skill
Health Regen Tank: Health Regen/RoF/Skill

As you can see, there are several ways to play tank. I usually utilize my jet gun, but I am always trying to improve my game. I think my rail gun could be better, so I am asking for some tips concerning the use of the rail gun. As for the tank builds, they might seem rather odd, but they can work really well if you play them properly.

The Ability Spam Tank is EXTREMELY MOBILE. You can actually outrun assaults because you charge regens every two seconds and that product grenade might as well be from an assault's grenade launcher, it recharges sooo fast.

Sniper Tank is great versus gunners at long range because you can rip through them with the accuracy endorsement providing the hit detection you need.

Health Regen is a little bit odd for the tank. If you play with armor, it might be slightly more useful, but it is still dangerous, for example:

You walk around a corner and a gunner takes you down to half health before you can retreat. You walk back to safety around the corner and you know that the gunner is coming after you. The gunner thinks you are gonna be an easily kill due to your low health, but he doesn't know that you are running health regen. To his surprise, you have full health and you jet gun him to death in half of a clip.

Obviously my example probably wouldn't occur against a good gunner, but you get the point, the health regen can be extremely effective. If you want to have some fun, use the Skill Spam Tank with charge three. It is hilarious.

Shammas is amazing we know this you will never be able to rail like him only Try Hard Tank knows the secret that he thought shammas.

Oh, did I make that unclear? I DIDN'T want a tank guide from you...

Oh, and I consider a tanks rail gun to be more important than his Jet Gun, so if you say you can't use the rail gun very well, you're considered sub-par in my book.

Ive starting to claw with the Tanks rail gun seeing Shammas do it I thought Id give it a try, and I can get tanks and gunners easily (duh) but still hard to get squishes because of the uncomfortable hand placement
