I know many people have had issues with this (mainly issues with host migration, etc.), but I'd just like to take a moment and explain how Quitting/Ragequitting ultimately ruins this game.

In-round team balancing is broken, at best. I can't count how many times I've entered a match and RIGHT before the match starts, people drop out. That leaves 4v6, which is daunting to say the least. Then when someone is getting dominated during these matches, they ragequit. So, instead of waiting for someone to drop in from Quick Match, they quit and don't finish the round. 2 minutes in the match, I've ultimately ended up being 1 of 2 people left on the team. We get steamrolled.

I absolutely LOVE this game, but I went at least 6 rounds last night with only 3 people or less on my team because of quitters. The game isn't fun at that point because there's no strategy that you can employ to combat the inevitable avalanche of bots and Pros you're going to experience.

People, don't start the match if you don't intend to finish it. Right now, there's nothing that handles in-round team balancing, and it's no fun to face 3 gunners and 3 support with only 1 gunner and 1 Assault. If somebody quits on a round, do the community a favor and send feedback indicating that they quit.

Uber, please, for the love of god, put in something to handle Team Balance in-round. While you're at it, add priority to games in progress when players choose "Quick Match", so those teams that are down 3 people have fresh incoming players instead of being steamrolled because a few people decided to ruin the fun for everyone.

They should look into adding a "leaver" statistic that tracks what % of the games they've entered then left.

Use that to somehow filter the games/players. Or implement a vote kick, this could come in handy for more than just this situation.

I'm not sure what the best thing to do is, however, something needs to be done. I was playing last night and was having the same thing happening. We start out with 6, then by class pick we're down to 4. 2 mins into the game, 2 more drop. Then I find myself and my teammate vs 6 players, 3 of which were 70+ ranks. There's no point in me even trying to do anything and until the game is over, I'm just wasting my actual playing time.

    Please do something.

Also frustrating (more so as a Support) is having the host wuss out and leave when their team is losing. After the host migration is complete Firebase turrets are deleted from the map.

I've also had the problem of having host migration take place 3-4 times in a row before I simply get fed up and leave at the very end of a match.

I'll admit that getting put into a losing match sucks but I'll stick with the team until the end. I generally play with a few friends and we've actually managed to turn around matches where we were down a few players by simply holding out until more people joined in.

This so rarely happens, which is a big issue. I think there should be a priority on matches that are already in progress. Of all the games I played where we were down 2 or more players, the game didn't add any from the queue. That tells me either 1) There is nobody in queue, -or- 2) The system is broken.

I stick in the match until the end because, hey, I'm not a douchebag, and I'll take the free money and stats. However, it's no fun trying to defend the base when support comes in, tosses up Firebases, and the gunners do a nonstop pound. It's impossible to defend at that point. If it were 6v6, I'd chalk it up to their skill or my team's crappiness, but when it's this unbalanced, it's beyond frustrating.

This was at 10 PM at night, and obviously not the busiest time for gaming, but still, this shouldn't be an issue.

I am more concerned with the team balancing in the lobby. Most of the time I can see that they group a bunch of low level players with 1 or 2 higher level player in one team while the other team are all high ranking players. :?

I was play the other night with two other friends in my party. 2 Guys drop about 5mins into the match. So it's me as a tank, support and gunner were my friends. Some random dude made up the 4th.

We were able to hold all 6 of them off until OT. I had $1600 saved up and my gunner had about $1000. Juice rush FTW!
We won with 1/4 health left on our ball.

I ragequit, do in every game I play. Games are meant to be fun and if, after trying to do something about situation X again and again and again getting wasted each time for whatever reason why would I wish to continue to play? It's obvious that Support is never going to heal me, and it's clear that no one wants to help out and kill the spawn-camping assassin so... ragequit.

That being said, I would much rather stay in the server and fight back and lose than quit... I'd never quit out of a game at the start because I was first death or because nobody Veeto'd the map etc.

Saying i'm a dirty little ragequitter would mean you are in the wrong.

I'd support some sort of in-match team balancing in extreme cases (2v6) so long as it only affected unbalanced numbers and not unbalanced team mates. I want to play on the same team as my buddies after all. The only 'meh' thought I have about that would be: 'will it work as well [read] as the host migration?'

If it's going to take 2 minutes to restart the game only to get kicked back to main menu because of the system... I've got to say no thanks.

Team balancing is an issue that I'm sure Uber is looking into. How it is, the system prioritizes live parties and boxers. Even when stuck with lowbies, you can pull out wins. You might have to change your tactics around.

If you seriously can't deal with the balancing, I suggest you play with a live party. You won't have no-mikers and you'll be on the same team (if you load from game lobby).

I don't trip though. Do your best. If it doesn't work out, you have the option to quit. No one is really going to hold it against anyone for quitting a 6 v 3 game.
