I'd like to see while playing Support a radius when I'll stand near Fire-Base (sentry) or normal Turrets. Opinions?
Showing a circle for the range radius would be a neat thing to have indeed. Shows how well your hack is working too.
As long as it only appears when you are in hacking range of the turret/firebase I would be fine with it. Much larger and it could get annoying
Well... maybe not exactly while you are hacking turret/sentry because camera doesn't allow you to see what's near this turret is. I'd prefer to allow to see a range when you are very close (buy turret / take your sentry back).
should be easy like the bomb radius, visually nice, gives a sense of better control over placement. /signed
he said hacking range so from where you can hack the turret you can see this range, not just while hacking it
But It would appear only if you have fully regenet Hack skill. Otherwise It would show just turret range.
That made no freaking sense at all. We don't need to see the range at which you can hack your turret. We want to see the range the turret can shoot WHEN WE ARE IN THE RANGE OF BEING ABLE TO HACK IT.
I think you get me wrong.... or me you. IF you have Hack Skill lvl 1 (full or not) and when you'll be close you'll see ADDON range to see what distance will give each hack (the problem is with other turrets).
Ok, so basically when you are near a turret or firebase, you can see it's firing range. Got it. And yes, it is a good idea, although a good player would be able to know that a certain turret has a certain range, and a certain turret when hacked has a certain new range. I.E. Rokkit on front nub of Spunky can roughly shoot to the corner of the bridge without hack, can shoot to the enemy wall with hack. Rokkit without hack on lazorblazor ring nub can roughly shoot right in front of tunnel/wall, with hack can shoot all the way into tunnel/on top of wall. It is always the same, so you can memorize them. However, I like this idea because the game has a big enough skill gap as it is. Maybe my teammates won't need me to correctly place and hack turrets for them if they could see it ahead of time. What I like more though: Any class being able to see the turret's range when standing close to the friendly turret, and being able to see 2 ranges (the turret's normal range, and the turret's range when/if hacked). These range rings just show up like the airstrike range ring.
Being able to see the range of every turret on my team would add a lot of things to the screen, and a lot of things that would pop-up as I looked by if they only appeared while you had your crosshair on them. Also, since we're talking about knowledge of mechanical things on the field, I would suggest making this a Support-only perk, and only for friendly turrets.
I would toss to Passive Skill 3. And yes It would be similar range just like to ejector but at the end It would add dotted line with "Hack .N" letters.
i think people are misunderstanding this, im seeing it as something you only see when your in range to hack the turret, it would show the curret range and then the range it would have after you hack it but that hack range will only show up when its possible to be hacked so when your skill is full recharged, am i correct?
I just thought it would be effective for any class to be able to see the range of their turrets (any class can build them) if they walk up to one and face it point blank range. I am not asking for this to be coupled with a support passive upgrade, or support only, or being able to do this across the map or with every turret at once. I am just saying it would be useful for any class to see the effective range of allied turrets . And the if they are point blank facing it. The support isn't the only turret builder. Actually, a good team on the xbox (what I am familiar with more) will have most turrets built by gunner or sniper, the money fetchers. The support needs money for skills, bots, specific turret stuff (clutch upgrades).
if you are in hacking range for any class you should be able to see the range, would be great, don't tie it to the supports passive, that would suck
*Ekhem*. Camera angle don't allow you to see the range. Some turrets radius-range would be useless. For instance: Long-shot any level. Well I have an idea where to put this thing. How about add new button to see range for turrets? For example: Aim on Laser Turret and press [/] to see the range (you should be able to see range from 10 meter) But still It needs some marker which turret you are looking at (I think because on some maps you have 2 very close Turret numbs).
