I remember that before the update, the assassin alternate fire grapple in a sense counted as a fourth skill. When putting on skill recovery once you had the katana, the grapple would recharge much faster. Does this still apply after the first update? Or is the grapple unrelated to skill recovery?
i believe skill recovery does regenerate grapple faster still. what you remember seeing is how the first update fixed the draining of the grapple by scramblers. now it doesnt act like a skill so scramblers dont drain it, but it does act like a skill so skillregen effects its speed.
Skill regen endorsements do not affect alternate fire grapples. It was a bug that is now fixed. However, in the DLC the grapple recovery time, for the Assassin, has been shortened.
Oh no? I remember asking during the Play with Devs day about new team colors (because I had seen various Wallpapers depicting people in different colors, such as Pitgirl in white and a team of Pros in Yellow). He said it was a possibility that it would appear in a new DLC. This statement, I suppose, COULD be construed as reference to a DLC that ISN'T the one coming out this month, but I didn't take it to mean as such. That's my fault for misunderstanding, haha. Sorry~!
I've often wondered the logic behind the Assassin grapple being more than five seconds or so, seeing how she's so reliant on it to win pro fights and it wouldn't affect any single encounters (assuming both players are competent). It just seems to serve to put Assassin out of the action for longer.
Ohhhhhh, I thought you meant the next DLC. Yes there is a possibility that we might change colors for a future DLC. But there will be the same Hotshots Orange and Icemen Blue for the DLC releasing this month.
We had it much shorter early on and an Assassin could completely wreck the other team, to the point where a good Assassin ruined the game for the other team. This was one of the solutions to that issue.
So then this patch serves to shorten the time so it isn't so long as it is now, yet not as short as was initially set? Somewhat of a happy medium, then?
Really? I can't quite fathom that, any more than I believe that an Assassin can take out whomever they choose should they have their grapple available.
