I know I saw threads/comments relating to this but; In case the devs decide to add in more public options instead of simply "Quick Match," I would suggest something very basic - since it is public matches, if you want crazy options just do privates - something like this; Option 1: All Stars Quick Match. This will be the way the Quick Match functions already. Option 2: Non-All Stars Quick Match. In this one, All Stars CANNOT play. Only those L1 to 99 can play this. Upon hitting Slim rank, they have to do Option 1. This could encourage, retain, and maintain the newcomers who are curious about the game only to enter their first few games and get totally pubstomped and then turn off the game for good. (cough you know who you are cough) If those 'noobs' actually stay around long enough to hit All Star mode, well, they either A) like the game enough to keep playing another 500 levels, B) have learned the game well enough to go up against much more experienced players, or C) well... if A and B doesn't qualify, then you are a C. Of course, newcomers can choose Option 1 if they desire to go straight to the "omghestotallyhackingimpossible50killsandzerodeaths" players.
I believe this was done in World at War and it worked very nicely. It was a great way for rookies/new players to get accustomed to the game.
The thing about that with a game of this popularity what happens when that bracket of Non-All-Star becomes almost non-existent? How would new players get to "really" teat the game online. Not to mention it would seem to them that the online is dead and not worth playing. Oh I said all of that then seen this:
