If I queue up too many things*, there's a very large chance the entire game will crash every time I press shift (which makes the ghosts show up). One easy way to fix it is to set a limit to how many ghosts can be rendered at a time, and render the ones closest to the center of the screen if the amount exceeds the limit. *(for example, some maps in galactic war have a planet with hundreds of metal points, and I like to queue them all up - or if I cover an entire planet with jigs. This is particularly annoying in galactic war where I have to restart the entire round every time it happens.)
That's not supposed to happen (obviously ). I usually use those build queues in abundance, and I don't get crashes. What's your OS? If Mac or Linux, what version and which graphics card and drivers do you use? If Windows, can you upload a DxDiag.txt? You can make one by pressing <WinKey>+R, typing "dxdiag", and pressing "Save All Information...". Upload the resulting file here using the "Upload a File" button on this forum.
same thing happens to me, especially on gas giants. If i queue up 4000 units (anchors, jigs) on the gas giant it's probably going to crash, or reduce my FPS to -5. FPS goes back to normal when i stop pressing shift ofc. Just dont make enormous queues, you're probably not going to need a queue which will take an hour to complete.
Lag, yes. Crash no. It really shouldn't crash though. And I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have larger build queues than what I just tried.
