Have you guys considered getting picked up by any publishers? 2K, Nintendo, EA (I hope not), Activision are a couple of examples.
McGovin, I'm not sure where you've been but: Activision is just as terrible. Honestly, I was surprised to see Bank of America on that list.
That was a total joke, The fact that AT&T Didn't win proved that blind fanboys voted due to a game not ending the way they wanted it to.
Ok, they had flubs, but are you ******* serious when you say they are "WORST COMPANY 2012 LAWL HURR DURR" AT&T And BOA are FAR worse.
I'm in Canada. I don't have to deal with them. And you can usually choose not to use either of them. EA is globally garbage and latches onto good companies and bleeds them dry of anything good before moving on to screw another company over while also nickle and diming their target audience to hell and back. I don't understand how people can think they have any sort of positive influence in the gaming industry. So yeah. I'm serious when I say they are the worst company.
Ok, but in full terms, ActivisionBlizzard does the SAME thing by rehashing the same MW CoD every two years. AT&T Is much worse by ripping off customers, And faking 4G LTE in LA. BoA Took the bailout, and they kicked a lot of people out of there house's. EA just makes games. Yes they overuse the Online pass. Yes, there sports game are the same every year. But they ARE NOT the worse company... Also DICE is the best one they own. But i do want Overstrike.
They're the worst company to me, thus I voted for them. Still don't get people who think they do any sort of good in world.
I guess I don't understand the question. We like making games and want to keep making games as long as we can. There are trade-offs to being independent and trade-offs to being owned by a pub. Most of us that started Uber have had both experiences. Right now we like being indie.
Having a publisher isn't always a good thing Timegate's game Section 8 was originally being published by SouthPeak and have been fighting in court over money issues and the rights to the S8 IP almost since original S8 launched
I recommend you stay that way. Spiral Knights used to be my favorite game until it got picked up by SEGA. Then they started releasing more "pay2play" content, going against their own morals of their payment system. It's horrible...
