Question about servers

Hey this game looks great but i don't want to waste my money on a game that has great potential but barely runs because of lag again (bad company 2 on xbox lol -_-) anyway are there dedicated servers and if so are where are they located (I'm Australian) or is this like CoD and the players host? (although dedicated are better if the servers arent in every country its really not worth it...)

A player hosts the game (much like MW2) and yes there is host migration in case he leaves. Not sure if it auto switches if theres epic lag though.

One last thing, is there region preference?

The person with the best connection hosts the match with their xbox acting as the server. As far as lag goes, I played last night with the devs on the west coast and smitty on the east coast and lag was minimal. I'll be posting my full impressions of the game after playing 7 hours last night.
