Would we be able to have an option to have bots spawn, not those bots but bot assassins or assaults you know?

I would really like this option in online crossfire, because people tend to complain saying oh they only won because we we're two or three people short, so i was wondering if this would be in the patch? i was in a entire match with three of my pals, we we're down two but since we don't ragequit, we played it out anyways, although we did lose to a very close game, i think having "Backup" would be necessary, although you should script an option where one human comes in and the bot should still be able to play until the human chooses his class, that's where the bot should then drop. and when the human leaves, the bot should have a script on it's end saying he will respawn in 5 seconds. having unfair amounts of teams would really suck.

EDIT: i am also on my T-Mobile phone which doesn't support blogs, which is lame, still waiting for that damn flash blog patch though  so forgive me if this has been covered up, as a friend told me of this just about an hour ago from this post.

And by the way, will we EVER see an offline crossfire? just curious....

Pros controlled by AI would be a large undertaking. Chances are if the game didn't come with bots originally, you're not going to see them until the sequel.

I don't know if you've noticed, but as multiplayer games have gotten more complex, the inclusion of "bots" has become less common. Back in the day when all you did was run around and shoot, it was easy to program an AI that would just move around until an enemy entered it's line of site, and then shoot at the enemy. That wouldn't exactly work very well in a game like this, especially since it's so team oriented. Good luck teaching an AI teamwork.

Or the best place to put a firebase.
Or not to throw airstrikes under cover.
Or not to shoot through walls.
    Or when to use juice.
    Or what skills to upgrade.
Or when to buy jump pads.
    Or when to buy turrets.
    Or when to buy bots.

My point being this game isn't simple enough to program bots into.

It's not very easy to do, but a few games have done it recently. Shadowrun, Gears 2, and Gears 3 are a few.

Yes, very true but coding wouldn't be so hard. Anyone here played Timesplitters? there coding system was really good when it came to team based matches, they knew there objectives well, they knew when to run when it was about time to die, it's pretty much possible as long as we know what the developers are doing. I have faith in uber making this come true.

Not to be Off-Topic here but here is some gameplay from there 2006 game:

If this could be implemented then kudos.

But the bots in Shadowrun are awful. Their only redeeming quality is that they can snipe you from across the map with a pistol.

Same with the bots in Gears 2. I've seen them just sit in cover while swinging a smoke grenade for five minutes. Again, their only good quality is that if they start shooting you, you had better be in cover, because they don't ever miss.
