I know people have posted 1000 threads about it, but that's not what I'm asking. Why do the parties get split? Is it because people from the game are joining in? Can Uber put in a privacy feature to prevent it from happening?
It is annoying. I want to play with my party, not against. I don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes I feel a little bad when I know I got one of my friends pinned on the opposite team and we end up smashing them and all. And it is really annoying when the teams aren't full and say we have a team of 4 people, a party of 4 people, but there is some random on our team instead of all 4.
We need test cases where it fails to try to fix it or to see where it's failing. Can you describe a scenario where it splits, number in party, etc?
I just did. We are in a lobby, waiting for a game to start, there are 8 people in the lobby, our party is 4 people, somehow we occasionally get an odd man out.
Did you party up in the pre-game lobby before quick matching? Assuming you did, then you get into a lobby and when the game starts, your party gets split up? Ok, we'll try some more tests with it today.
Yeah, we are a party, join up in the quick launch, and find a lobby. I think occasionally we have people come and go from the party, but it seems to happen regardless.
We'll this is an important piece of information. If people are coming and leaving from a party, that could certainly throw things off. We've tested it just fine with a party that joins up, stays together, host migrates, and continues to other matches.
Yesterday I got split up from a friend when it was just two of us, in a party. Usually it happens with 3-4 people, in a party. It happens mostly after 1-2 games of being on the same team. Me and my friends even appear offline so people can't join our session, but we still end up getting split.
This has happened since the game came out. Basically, we have 4-6 people, join up in the lobby, and search for a quick match. We'll find a game and play about 5-6 matches when suddenly 1 of us gets split and 1 of the people who's been in our game that we don't know is in their place. It continues to happen every game after that. We just assumed that people were joining up with us so they could win and we tried appearing offline and setting our profiles to private, but they still got in. I talked to 1 guy who got into our party somehow and he said he just got placed on our team by luck.
Same... two man party from beginning lobby search get into room play a few games on the same team get split
