My laptop can perfectly run Mass Effect 1 and decently run TF2. If I wanted to make sure my LT could run games like ME2 or BF3, would it be difficult or would I be better playing on a desktop?

You'll almost always be better off on a desktop.

How much would you be paying for that laptop?
