Quazi crouch for the assault?

So i was reading in another thread, where another MNC player was kind of lamenting about not having the ability to crouch. (useful against a sniper)

so here's my question. does activating your hover ability as an assault without jumping change the location of your head?

reason i ask this is because on laserazor arena, the jump pad on the right side of the map (if your facing towards your opponents base) that lets you onto high ground towards the center.

Assaults don't need to activate this pad. they can jump and activate thier hover to get up there. now if you just jump you cant get up, you have to activate your hover. so it makes me think that something changes about where your feet are at when you activate hover. would that in turn lower your head if you just did it on ground without jumping?

If u activate hover and don't charge.. while a sniper is looking at you, hes going to kill you.. you hover really slowly, unless you are using gold speed or something..

and I'm actually pretty sure your head stays in the same spot, he just kinda lifts his legs a bit.. but i could be wrong..
