Putting MNC aside until Mickey Cantor shuts up.

Well i'm not sure if this is the right section but i decided to stop playing MNC today. I love the game, got my 10k kills, i can totally live with the lag and glitches but this god forsaken Mickey Cantor is absolutely destroying the game for me.
Not only is he way too loud he stopped being funny about five thousand repetetive lines ago, i also get enough trying-hard-to-be-funny-commercials in daily life and getting this in my game aswell is to much.

Uber made the best XBLA game ever, without a doubt, but not giving an option to turn this eardrum-terrorist off was probebly the worst decision they made on this title.


You can call me an whiner or whatever and that's just fine. If i didn't share the opinion i'd think the same if someone posted a similair thread.

Uber said they can't do that for less than 10$.

When you turn off the announcer in just about any sports game you realize after you do it that something is now missing.

I would love to have a volume slider.....

Personal gun noise (double miniguns): way the hell down
Assassin cloak warble: way the hell up

awww cmon dr0ks, Mickey's not thaaat bad, I kinda like his corny repetitive sayings...
Although there's a couple of them I could live without, I think it is a vital element to the whole 'feel' of the game....

The update does reduce his lines for kill streaks which will reduce the repetition of some of his announcements.

any chance he'll get some more lines in the upcoming DLC's Scathis? I would love to hear some new ones

Yes. There is definitely a chance.

Ow dude, he was hilarious at the start, but now i just cannot stomach it anymore. Everytime you die he yells something in your ear, i mean like dying wasn't bad enough in the first place? Dunno it just really destroys the game for me at least. My friends feel the same, but those without headsetnete extend aswell and agree that he needs to be less loud and less frequent.
At the very least he shouldn't interfere with the gameplay, wich he does now and quite often aswell.

Great news! Will the advertising, especially when you die, get a second look at? Or is a volume reducer/mute funtion even in concideration?

You are nitpicky. Most people don't even notice him throughout the game.

My only problem with Mickey is the limited dialogue.

Once that's solved, I will probably love him forever.

Right now, though, I do get a bit annoyed sometimes.

Mikey is like the john madden of monday night combat! he says the craziest stuff and random things that just make you laugh at the game. The only problem i have is that your teams assassins when cloaked shouldn't hum.

Or at least make a different noise. Nothing screws up my game faster then becoming paranoid about my own Assassin. :roll:

Myself, I laugh every time I start playing Grenade III. There's fire in the hole. Your hole.

Mickey's only repetitive if you're playing the game too much and that's your fault.

I'm sorry but this logic is flawed MNC is too much fun to to play less.

Still haven't played since i posted it though, hoping M$ stops taking their sweet little time with the patch and actually release it already so i can give it another go.

A simple solution.. Play without sound. It also makes you a better play. Keeps you more alert. That is what I did. & when I played with sound I do 10x better. Just keep something that simple in mind.

But what about assassins?
