problems

    On larger games not everyone starts the game at the same time, giving slight advantages to players. This is problematic for obtaining accurate feedback. Syncing this with a countdown would be nice. A 3 second countdown would be nice once all players have chosen locations and are ready to start the game.

    I feel current game design promotes being passive and defensive. Space tech is easy and quick to obtain and because the defense structures are really really good I feel like everyone just turtles and space races. Maybe significantly smaller planets so you are always on the boarders fighting? Or maybe the space launchers can only be built in certain areas of the map for control points to fight over?

    Very difficult to manage more than 2 planets. I hear the "unit being attacked sound" and have no idea where it is on the planet or even which planet it is on. A computer take over control (auto manage) or add player to the game to assist control would be nice.

    Only team play no Ally option. It only takes 1 teammate who doesn't know how to manage an economy to completely destroy your team. Or they misuse units or building ques you set up. I like the team play idea if you're with friends. I also think it would be cool if team player join in mid game to help manage a new planet. But I would like a team game where each player has his own economy.

    Orbital units are difficult to select and control. I'm always having to zoom out then rotate the planet to select them.

    Planets in the background of the current planet should not render or be visible (especially if they are on the other side of the system) it just slows down the game and causes players to lag out and quit in frustration.

    In the game joining screen why is the chat box a tab you select instead of being always visible (or an option to show). Players want to see what people are typing and what their ready status is at the same time.

    Aside from that fantastic job on an incredible game so far. That is just some of my feedback thus far.

    +1 to this. Also help build excitement.
    I think this is one of the reasons the mex distro is being worked on so heavily. I notice people who will setup FOBs outside enemy bases to harass them. Thus removing the space race option.
    UI issues, being worked on. I imagine the UI will change very rapidly as it is one of the easier systems to change in a title during the dev phase.

    Yep, such a PITA. also a graphical indicator of where the space transports are going to/from would be nice.
    I like that they render, but performance should not take such a hit when they do. The visual is awe inspiring
    Agreed. Chat in both the lobby and in game should always be visible.
