Since the community is moving more towards organized matches, with the community ladder, the irc match ups, and the different clans popping up, it might be a good idea to get private/passworded matches soon.

This way we don't have to ask people to leave all the time, which prevents disappointments.

It isn't really that needed now, but one can imagine with the influx of players of the Beta it might be a handy feature to put in.

I obviously know that it will be in eventually, I'm only stating that it would be nice to have soon.

Agree, I sometimes just test mods or UI changes and some password protection will be useful.

This gets a +1 from me.

"Sorry, buddy, can you please leave? This is a pre-made game"

    "Okay :("

Yeah agreed, no massive rush but I would really make sure it is in before beta launch.

Yes, you will be able to create passworded matches AND passworded army slots.

    Thats sounds really great, Neutrino.
Passworded army slots is a very good idea, no more: "sry, a friend is comming -> kick" ;)

Now that's a nifty little feature that I probably wouldn't have thought of.
