I suggest that when the game comes out on Steam and Uber.net then I advice to make the game 15/20 euros, why? Well not ofcourse because Uber doesn't need the money, but more so it's cheap and people will get more interested. Opinions ?
To obtain the game on Kickstarter you have to pay 20$ so my guess is that it will be 20$(15€) on Steam. But really, 60$ is absurd for a digital game, you don't even get the printed manual or case. I doubt that they would charge such price. Maybe they'd do it like Portal 2, 40€ at first and then soon lowered.
Too early to tell, I would imagine if its going to be released on Steam, then there will be a pre-order discount as with most games released on Steam, then I would imagine that there will be discounts during the Summer Sales and Christmas Sales. Other than that I have no idea. They would proably build a larger community with a lower price point, but as its stands I'm not an Digital Economist. People will pay just to destroy planets
Disagree with topic, price is not important to everyone. I got ten years out of TA, and have gotten time out of Supcom/FA since their release and still play them. The 1000s of hours of enjoyment over the time span from late 90s until now is worth a lot of money. If Planetary annihilation is going to be anything like that, it would be friggin worth $1000 easily... just saying! In reality I think $25-45 makes sense
For once, I won't care much how expensive this is. Normally I torrent every game (perfectly legal here too ), but for this, I'd make an exception, I think. I will have to see how this turns out, but it looks like this will be my dream game.
